Terms of Service
City Tracker · Last updated 20 July 2026
These terms set the rules for using City Tracker. Use the service honestly, do not attack or scrape it, and check important recruitment information with the relevant firm.
Who these terms are with
City Tracker is run by David FitzGerald as an individual. You can contact David at contact@citytracker.city.
City Tracker is an independent project. It is not operated by, affiliated with, or endorsed by any law firm, employer, forum or publisher.
These terms apply whenever you use City Tracker. If you do not agree to them, do not use the service.
What City Tracker provides
City Tracker provides an application planner, live recruitment signals, aggregate waiting-time benchmarks, historical comparison data, firm research and optional alerts.
City Tracker is a planning and research tool. It is not legal advice, careers advice, an official recruitment source or a promise about any application outcome.
- Application dates, scheme details and recruitment stages can change. Confirm them on the relevant firm's official website before acting.
- Live and historical figures are self-selected, incomplete and may contain mistakes. They do not represent every applicant. Clearly labelled public-forum signals are external reports, not verified City Tracker users or law-firm announcements.
- Alerts can be delayed, filtered or fail to arrive. Do not rely on an alert to meet a deadline or make an application decision.
- Law firms control their own recruitment decisions. City Tracker cannot influence or explain an outcome.
Accounts and privacy
You can use the planner as a guest. If you sign in with Google, you are responsible for activity through that account and for keeping access to it secure.
The Privacy Notice explains what City Tracker stores, why it is used, who processes it and how to download or delete it. Live Data is a separate choice and remains optional. The private planner and historical evidence do not require it.
Your Live Data contributions
If you turn on Live Data, only report your own genuine application experience and take reasonable care that firms, schemes, dates and statuses are accurate. A check-in may contribute to current firm and scheme counts from the first report.
Do not submit another person's personal information, confidential assessment material, deliberately false information, or anything unlawful, threatening, abusive or defamatory.
You keep any rights you have in your contribution. You give City Tracker a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, aggregate and display it only as needed to operate and improve the service, in line with your consent and the Privacy Notice. This licence ends when the contribution is removed.
City Tracker may correct or remove a contribution where there is a reasonable basis to believe it is false, unlawful, unsafe or harmful to the service or another person.
Acceptable use
You must not:
- scrape, crawl, bulk download, monitor or extract application, live, comparison or scorecard data using a bot, script or other automated method without written permission;
- copy, republish, sell or build a competing dataset from City Tracker data;
- overload the service, send excessive automated requests, bypass rate limits, or interfere with its operation;
- probe, scan or test security without written permission, or try to access another user's account, session or data;
- impersonate another person, manipulate Live Data or submit misleading status reports; or
- use City Tracker for anything unlawful or to harm another person.
Ownership and third-party material
City Tracker's software, design, branding and original text belong to David FitzGerald or the relevant licensors. You may use the service for your own personal, non-commercial application planning. These terms do not transfer ownership of the service or its datasets to you.
Law firm names, trademarks, historical applicant material, deadlines, survey scores and other attributed material remain the property of their respective owners. External sites have their own terms and City Tracker is not responsible for their content.
City Tracker may derive a minimal recruitment signal from an explicit report on a public discussion thread. It stores and displays only the firm, scheme, milestone, rounded report time and source label. It does not republish usernames or message text, and the source is not affiliated with or responsible for City Tracker.
Availability, changes and paid features
City Tracker will be provided with reasonable skill and care, but uninterrupted or error-free access cannot be guaranteed. Features may need to change for security, legal, operational or product reasons.
Some features may be prepared behind a paid access gate before paid memberships are generally available. If paid access opens, the price, billing period, cancellation rights and any important restrictions will be shown before you agree to pay. City Tracker will not charge you without your express agreement.
Keep your own copy of information you cannot afford to lose. Signed-in users can download their City Tracker data from the account menu.
Stopping or suspending access
You can stop using City Tracker at any time. Signed-in users can delete their account and associated data from the account menu.
City Tracker may restrict or suspend access if you materially breach these terms, create a genuine security or legal risk, threaten another user, or seriously disrupt the service. Where the issue is minor and can be fixed, reasonable notice and an opportunity to put it right will be given where practical. Immediate action may be taken where delay would create a real risk of harm or loss.
If City Tracker is permanently closed, reasonable notice and an opportunity for signed-in users to export their data will be provided where practical.
Responsibility when things go wrong
Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that consumer law gives you. Nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or anything else that cannot legally be excluded.
City Tracker is responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by a breach of these terms or a failure to use reasonable care and skill. It is not responsible for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable, for recruitment decisions made by a law firm, or for problems caused by information supplied by users or third parties where reasonable care was taken.
City Tracker is provided for personal, non-commercial use and is not responsible for business losses such as lost profit, revenue or opportunity.
Changes to these terms
These terms may change for valid legal, security, operational or product reasons. The date at the top shows the latest version. Material changes will be brought to users' attention before they take effect where reasonably possible. If you do not accept an updated version, you can stop using the service and delete your account.
Law and disputes

If you live in England or Wales, English law applies and you can use the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you keep the protections of your local law and can use your local courts. If you live elsewhere, mandatory consumer protections in your country are not affected.
